Welcome to Frisco Vet Care!

Your pet deserves more than assembly-line veterinary care. Frisco Veterinary Care is a locally owned animal hospital founded by three Texas A&M-trained veterinarians who believe quality treatment shouldn’t mean sacrificing convenience or personal attention. Located at 2440 Eldorado Pkwy, we serve Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper, and surrounding areas with comprehensive veterinary services ranging from preventive screenings to urgent care and surgical procedures. Our team understands that finding reliable vets means finding professionals who respect your time, answer your questions thoroughly, and treat your companions with genuine compassion at every visit.

Our Mission

We’re here to keep your pets healthy through proactive veterinary care that prevents problems before they start. Our vets focus on early detection, client education, and building strong partnerships with every family we serve. You won’t find rushed appointments or one-size-fits-all treatment plans here. Instead, we take time to understand your pet’s unique needs, explain medical findings clearly, and develop personalized care strategies that fit your lifestyle. From routine exams and dental hygiene to managing chronic conditions, our veterinarians combine advanced diagnostics with the hands-on attention your pet deserves throughout every life stage.

Meet the Doctors

The heart of Frisco Veterinary Care lies in our founding veterinary team. Dr. Ryan Jacques brings expertise in internal medicine after nine years at a Dallas 24/7 hospital, focusing on preventative care that strengthens the human-pet bond. Dr. Amy Rippy combines surgical precision with dental care mastery, drawing from her Dallas-area practice experience since 2009 and her dedication to excellence shown through competitive dressage. Dr. Wesley Williams grew up on an East Texas farm and brings 13 years of general practice and emergency care experience, specializing in pain management and dermatology.

Together, these three Texas A&M graduates form a collaborative team that provides comprehensive veterinary services with the depth of knowledge typically found only at specialty centers. Supporting them are dedicated professionals like Practice Manager Sarah R., who brings over eight years of veterinary management expertise to ensure your entire experience exceeds expectations.

Expert Veterinary Care for Your Beloved Pets

Why Regular Wellness Visits Keep Your Pet Thriving

We understand that keeping your furry companion healthy requires more than just treating illness when it appears. Our wellness programs at Frisco Veterinary Care focus on preventing health problems before they start. When you bring your pet to see our vets, we evaluate everything from physical condition to behavioral patterns. Regular wellness visits help us catch potential issues early, giving your pet the best chance for a long and happy life.

Every pet deserves individualized attention based on their unique needs. We customize vaccination schedules according to your pet’s age, lifestyle, and exposure risks rather than following a generic protocol. Our comprehensive approach includes thorough nose-to-tail examinations, dental evaluations, and parasite screening.

Building Strong Foundations in Young Animals

Puppies and kittens benefit tremendously from establishing healthy routines early. Our vets conduct initial health screenings to identify any congenital issues and create personalized vaccination plans. We test kittens for serious diseases like Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.

  • Customized vaccination schedules based on lifestyle factors
  • Intestinal parasite screening and deworming treatments
  • Nutritional counseling appropriate for growth stages
  • Behavioral guidance including housetraining and socialization tips
  • Pet insurance recommendations for future protection

Monitoring Changes Throughout Adult Years

Adult pets need consistent monitoring to maintain optimal health. Annual examinations allow our vets to establish baseline measurements and track changes over time. We continue parasite prevention while adjusting care based on developing needs.

  • Annual physical examinations from nose to tail
  • Continued vaccination and parasite prevention programs
  • Nutritional and exercise counseling for weight management
  • Behavioral evaluation and guidance
  • Early disease detection through regular monitoring

Maintaining wellness throughout your pet’s life creates the foundation for quality years together. Our team partners with you to provide comprehensive care at every stage.

How Surgery Transforms Your Pet’s Health and Comfort

Your pet’s health sometimes requires surgical intervention to address conditions that cannot be managed through medication alone. Our team provides a wide range of procedures designed to improve quality of life and resolve serious health concerns. From routine spay and neuter operations to complex abdominal procedures, we handle each case with precision and care. Our vets use advanced techniques and modern equipment to perform surgeries safely while minimizing discomfort for your companion.

We prioritize clear communication throughout the entire process. Before any procedure, we explain what to expect and answer all your questions. Our focus remains on your pet’s safety and comfort from the initial consultation through complete recovery.

What Preventive Procedures Protect Your Pet

Spay and neuter surgeries serve as essential preventive measures for dogs and cats. These procedures help control pet population while reducing the risk of certain diseases. Our vets at Frisco Veterinary Care perform these operations with meticulous attention to detail and personal care for each patient.

  • Population control helps reduce homeless animals in communities
  • Decreased risk of reproductive cancers and infections
  • Reduction in unwanted behavioral issues related to hormones
  • Lower likelihood of pets roaming or displaying aggression
  • Long-term health benefits that extend your companion’s lifespan

Advanced Solutions for Complex Health Conditions

Some health issues require sophisticated surgical interventions to restore wellness. We perform abdominal and soft tissue procedures including foreign body removal, mass extraction, and hernia repairs. Our team of vets also handles tumor removal from various areas such as eyes, ears, and soft tissues using state-of-the-art technology.

  • Complete tumor eradication with minimal invasiveness
  • Foreign object extraction from digestive systems
  • Hernia repair to prevent serious complications
  • Dental surgeries including tooth removal and gum treatments
  • Gentle techniques that prioritize patient comfort

Recovery support includes detailed home care instructions, effective pain management, and scheduled follow-up appointments. We monitor progress closely to catch any concerns early and maintain open communication with you throughout healing.

The Hidden Impact of Dentistry on Your Pet’s Vitality

Poor oral health affects far more than just your companion’s mouth. Dental problems can lead to painful conditions that impact eating habits, behavior, and overall comfort. Many pet owners overlook oral care, yet it remains fundamental to longevity and well-being. Our vets at Frisco Veterinary Care perform comprehensive evaluations using advanced methods and equipment to detect early signs of trouble before they escalate into serious complications.

Professional dental care also reveals underlying systemic health issues like heart disease or diabetes that may first appear in the mouth. Regular examinations and cleanings protect your pet from preventable discomfort while supporting their quality of life.

Preventing Disease Through Professional Cleaning Sessions

Thorough dental cleanings address both visible problems and issues beneath the gum line. Our experienced vets focus on prevention and patient comfort during each session. Early detection of plaque and gingivitis stops minor concerns from progressing into conditions requiring extensive treatment down the road.

  • Professional cleanings reach areas beneath the gum line
  • Early detection prevents plaque from advancing to serious disease
  • Regular sessions maintain oral health between visits
  • Preventive approach reduces need for future extractions
  • Advanced equipment identifies problems invisible to pet owners

Personalized Treatment Plans for Periodontal Disease

When dental disease develops, customized strategies become necessary to restore oral health. Our vets create treatment plans tailored to each pet’s specific needs, which may include scaling, root planing, or tooth extractions. These interventions combat periodontal disease effectively while prioritizing your companion’s comfort throughout the process.

  • Scaling removes harmful buildup from tooth surfaces
  • Root planing addresses issues below the gum line
  • Tooth extractions eliminate sources of ongoing pain
  • Personalized approaches match individual severity levels

Regular dental visits enhance overall health and wellness beyond just oral hygiene, ultimately making daily activities like eating more enjoyable for your beloved companion.

Hands down BEST VET IN FRISCO AND CELINA!! Service is outstanding and this is coming from someone who has lived in this areas for 20 years. I have several animals, which means I have lots of experience with vet hospitals. This Veterinary Center stands out among all in Frisco and Celina combined.

Alvah R.

I highly recommend this vet! They treat the animals like their own and the staff are so friendly. The location is very clean, fast and the price is reasonable.

Angela s.

I’m so thankful for Dr. Rippy and the whole team! We were able to see the doctor quickly without a long wait, which was such a relief. We had to leave our previous vet because they often made us wait 40–50 minutes just to be seen, and my dogs would get really anxious during that time.
Dr. Rippy took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and never once seemed annoyed. The technician, Yaasmeen, was also incredibly kind and patient with me. Both of them made me feel heard and reassured, and I really appreciate their understanding and care.
Highly recommend.

Kim S.

Great staff. Everyone is so caring and professional!

Paul J.

They took great care of my fur babies for their well check ups and I could tell they felt super comfortable with Dr. Jacques and Sarah! Remi typically refuses treats when she is too nervous, but they made her feel comfortable in their clinic to where she did eat a treat and enjoyed some cheez whiz as a final reward! Same with my cat Tails, if he’s to stressed he won’t eat, but he devoured a churu and didn’t even flinch when they gave him his vaccinations! And they gave him a couple churus to-go ☺️☺️ very open minded and accommodating to mine and my pet’s needs.

How often should my pet visit the veterinarian?

Most healthy adult pets need routine checkups at least once annually for preventative care, vaccinations, and early detection screenings. Senior pets and those with chronic conditions benefit from examinations every six months to monitor changes and adjust treatment plans. Puppies and kittens require more frequent visits during their first year for vaccination schedules, blood, urine, and fecal tests, and developmental monitoring.

Can you transfer medical records from my previous vet?

Yes, transferring medical records is simple and helps our veterinarians provide seamless continuity of care for your pet. You can submit a records request through our online form at friscovetcare.com, and we’ll contact your previous veterinary practice directly. Having your pet’s complete health history allows our vets to understand past treatments, track vaccination schedules, and make informed decisions about future veterinary services.

What makes preventative care important for pets?

Preventative care helps our vets identify health issues before they become serious, saving your pet from unnecessary suffering and complications. Regular routine exams, dental hygiene maintenance, and heartworm/flea prevention protect against preventable diseases that are harder and more complex to treat later. Early detection through blood work and physical examinations catches problems like joint stiffness, dental health issues, and internal conditions when they’re most manageable.
